M.Sc.: IIT Kanpur, 2007 (M.Sc. project under Prof. Y. D. Vankar with overall CPI of 9.3/10 and Rank 2nd)
B.Sc.: Calcutta University (Presidency College, Kolkata), 2002 with overall 73%

Dr. Rima Thakur was born in Kolkata in the year 1984. After completion of school, she pursued B.Sc. in Chemistry from Presidency College, Kolkata during 2002-2005. She then obtained her M.Sc. degree from IIT Kanpur in 2007 and joined the group of Prof. Y. D. Vankar as a PhD student. After completion of her PhD in 2013, she joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry of NIT. Patna in 2014 . She has earlier qualified several National level entrance tests by securing high ranks. JAM, 2005: AIR 12, GATE, 2007: AIR 10, CSIR-NET, 2006: selected for SPM fellowship interview
